Thinstall and Dögel IT-Translations sign partnership

09.01.2008

After having a very successful partnership with selling Thinstall, the software vendor Thinstall decided that Dögel IT-Translation is also the right partner for localizing the Thinstall VS.

Product description

Based in San Francisco, the young startup company Thinstall came up with a very innovative solution that is getting more and more popular these days.

Thinstall is an Application Virtualization Platform that enables complex software to be delivered as self-contained EXE files which can run instantly with zero installation from any data source. The core of Thinstall VS is the Virtual Operating System, a small light-weight component which is embedded with each “Thinstalled” application.

Why do Thinstall and Dögel work together?

In May 2007, Thinstall started the roll out in the German market in a very new field that is called Software Virtualization. After only one month the platinum partner Dögel IT-Management realized the first roll out of the Thinstall VS. At the end of 2007, with the help of Dögel, Thinstall has built a really huge customer base here in Germany without having any parts of the application or any documents in German.

In 2008, the customer base will be expanded with focus on the German market. To do so, Thinstall decided to localize the Thinstall VS to German. By coincidence, the German partner of Thinstall with the greatest customer base – Dögel IT-Management – decided to build up a translation company that supports their customers to enter the German market in the same time. Being a very reliable partner, it was no question for Thinstall to take Dögel as the partner for the translation.

Realization of the project

Dögel IT-Translations has realized the project with the help of their highly qualified IT and localization staff – the project was divided in the following steps and subtasks:

1. Translating the tutorial introduction to the Thinstall VS
2. Translating FAQs
3. Translating some parts of the help
4. Localizing the flash clips
5. Translating marketing stuff like white papers
6. Translating the software
